PRINCETON, NJ (August 14, 2026) – ETS, a global education and talent solutions organization, today announced the appointments of Ruma Mukerji as Chief Financial Officer and Peter Betaneli as General Counsel. Mukerji will lead ETS’s Finance and Global Facilities functions, leading teams responsible for financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, finance transformation, and the organization’s global real estate and facilities portfolio. As General Counsel, Betaneli will lead ETS's global legal, governance, ethics, compliance, privacy, digital accessibility and enterprise risk functions and advise the Board of Trustees, executive leadership team and business units across the ETS enterprise.
“As ETS continues to evolve and expand its global impact, Ruma and Peter will play critical leadership roles in shaping our future,” said Amit Sevak, CEO of ETS. “Ruma brings the strategic financial leadership needed to steward our resources and accelerate our mission, while Peter’s exceptional legal, governance, and enterprise expertise will help us navigate complexity, seize opportunity, and lead with confidence in a rapidly changing world.”
Mukerji joined ETS in January 2024 to lead financial planning and analysis. Before joining ETS, she held senior finance leadership roles spanning commercial finance, revenue management, investor relations, equity research, and mergers and acquisitions at Stanley Black & Decker, PepsiCo, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan and Lazard. She holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies at the University of Delhi, a bachelor's degree in economics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women in New Delhi, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter from CFA Institute.
“ETS is entering an exciting new chapter, and I look forward to shaping the financial foundation that will support its future growth and impact,” said Mukerji. “By strengthening our financial agility, modernizing the finance function, and sharpening how we measure performance and mission outcomes, we can make smarter investments that advance ETS’s mission and create lasting value.”
Betaneli’s career spans the last 18 years at ETS, most recently as vice president, deputy general counsel and corporate secretary. As General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, he leads ETS’s global legal, governance, ethics, compliance, privacy, digital accessibility and enterprise risk functions, advising the Board of Trustees, executive leadership team and business units on strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory matters, intellectual property, international operations and commercial transactions. Betaneli previously held positions at Viacom, NBCUniversal and Pearson Education. He holds a J.D. from the Cardozo School of Law, an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business, and a B.A. from the NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
“I am honored to take on this role after more than 18 years at ETS,” Betaneli said. “Our legal, governance and risk functions play an important role in helping ETS pursue its mission with integrity, navigate complexity and move forward with confidence. I look forward to partnering across the enterprise to support responsible innovation and sustainable growth.”
