Dr. Amy Dambrowitz is the inaugural Executive Director of the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC), where she leads national efforts to advance the profession through learning and professional development, community building, and sector advocacy. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, she most recently served as University Registrar at the University of Calgary.

Her leadership has focused on building strong, collaborative teams, advancing data-informed decision-making, and strengthening student-centred practices. Amy has consistently championed institutional initiatives in equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenous engagement, with a focus on improving access and outcomes for students. She is passionate about supporting registrarial professionals and strengthening the post-secondary community across Canada.

Dr. Lisa Davies is Associate Director of Internationalisation and Admissions at the University of South Wales (USW) in the UK.  USW is one of the UK’s leading professional and technical universities with 26,000 students from over 100 countries studying on courses at undergraduate, graduate and post graduate research level across three campuses.

Lisa joined the university in 2011. In her current role, she is responsible for the university’s internationalisation plan and provides strategic leadership for the various international teams including international recruitment, international partnerships and mobility, immigration and international student advice and the Centre for International English. In addition to this, she oversees the universities home and international admissions functions and is one of the university’s champions for equality, diversity and inclusion.

Lisa has over 20 years of experience in the field of international education and has engaged at both an operational and strategic level in Higher Education across Wales, the UK and the rest of the world. Lisa is an active member of BUILA (British Universities International Liaison Association) and Global Wales. Prior to moving into international education, Lisa was a lecturer in modern foreign languages and holds a PhD in Latin American literature from Cardiff University.

Dr. Diya Dutt has nearly three decades of experience in higher education in the United States and India. She served for over fifteen years with the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), the Fulbright Commission in India, including as Deputy Director, and earlier at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi.

She currently serves as an Adviser to the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), one of the world's largest university membership organizations. She is a Board Member of the South Asia International Education Network (SAIEN) and OneStep Global, and an Affiliate with Gateway International Group, where she advises universities on internationalization, transnational education, student mobility, and global partnership strategies.

Dr. Dutt holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Tim is Director, International at the University of Sydney in the External Engagement portfolio. The international team includes International Recruitment, Sydney Global Mobility and International Partnerships and Development teams responsible for the development and implementation of strategies and initiatives to achieve the University’s international goals and commencing student load aspirations from pathways through to higher degree by research. Functions within this include sponsored students, inbound and outbound study abroad and exchange, international agreements, full-degree recruitment, articulations, partnerships, dual degree and joint PhDs, in-country recruitment teams and agent management and compliance. Tim has recently developed a suite of Equity based scholarships in partnership with global not-for-profit organisations focused on improving access to education for disadvantaged communities. 

Tim is an active member of the Australian Universities International Directors Forum (AUIDF) serving as the NAFSA AUR Chair, APAIE AUR Chair and as a member of the AUIDF Research Working Group. He has previously been an elected board member for the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA) and was the Victorian State Delegate for the English Australia board in the past. With a background in ELICOS, Tim has worked in a range of roles in the English language sector in Australia, Japan and Mexico. After some time working in advertising Tim was a founding member of a standalone English language college in Melbourne for many years prior to moving into the higher education sector working across pathways, TNE, marketing, study abroad, student recruitment and senior management roles.

Ambika Kaul is a serial entrepreneur, an award-winning career counsellor and educator with over 20 years of global experience working with Fortune100 companies like GE Capital, American Express and AXA, across Asia, the US and Europe. Since 2018, Ambika led career and college counselling at DPS, R.K. Puram. Here she innovated counselling practises and built new curriculum to support over 11,000 young learners explore careers, acquire relevant skills and be workforce ready. She was awarded Counsellor of the Year in 2021 by IC3 to recognise her contribution to helping students find purpose and imbibe a spirit of entrepreneurship and critical thinking. Since April 2023, she is mentoring 200 schools across India improve in-school counseling outcomes through interventions, workshops & curriculum development.  A committed champion for Social Inclusion, Equity and Access, Ambika is passionate about solving for the UN Sustainable Development Goals. 

She currently serves as the co-chair for the Global IC3 Sustainable Development Committee for Educators and School Counselors serving over 700+ schools globally. As a prolific speaker and passionate educator, she has been invited to multiple forums by universities, education organisations and representatives of various governments to share her expertise in Counselling, Sustainability, Digital Safety and Entrepreneurship with the larger community. Ambika has a dual MBA in Marketing and Finance at XLRI, Jamshedpur, and read Economics (Hons) at Delhi University for her undergraduate studies.

Dr. Aga Paul is Executive Director of the USC International Academy and the USC American Language Institute at the University of Southern California. She provides strategic leadership for English-language, academic preparation, and pathway programs that support international student success and institutional internationalization.

With more than twenty years of experience in international education, Dr. Gniewek-Paul has held senior leadership positions at USC and Kaplan International, overseeing global admissions, program management, student services, academic operations, and international partnerships. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with universities, government-sponsored scholarship organizations, educational agencies, and institutional partners across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. 

Dr. Gniewek-Paul holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership and a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Southern California, as well as master’s degrees in Accounting and in Sociology from the University of Szczecin in Poland. She is also a certified executive coach and an active member of NAFSA, UCIEP, and English USA. 

A native of Poland, Dr. Gniewek-Paul brings to the TOEFL Advisory Board extensive expertise in international student mobility, English-language education, institutional strategy, and the evolving needs of students pursuing higher education in a global environment.

With more than 20 years of experience in graduate admissions and student services, her work focuses on advancing holistic admissions, monitoring global higher education trends, navigating the complexities of evolving student visa policy, and developing innovative admissions and enrollment strategies. She partners with graduate departments on recruitment, admissions review practices, and policy implementation, and represents the Graduate College on campus initiatives related to international student issues, student data, and strategic planning. She holds a Ph.D. in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership with a concentration in Global Studies in Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

She is an active member of the National Association for Graduate Enrollment Management (NAGAP) and serves on the NAGAP Education Committee. She collaborates with colleagues across higher education through the Big Ten Academic Alliance and other professional networks and regularly presents at national conferences on graduate admissions, international enrollment, and enrollment strategy.

Romesh brings over three decades of experience in Canadian higher education, including leadership roles at McGill University, Dalhousie University, and Concordia University. His extensive background spans student affairs, enrolment management, academic advising, systems deployment, and strategic project leadership. Romesh has been serving as Interim Registrar and Executive Director of Enrolment Services at McGill since September 2025.

He previously held positions as Assistant Registrar at Service Point and as Associate Director of the Faculty of Arts Office of Advising and Student Information Services (OASIS), where he led a team dedicated to supporting student success and streamlining academic processes.  Romesh is also a nationally recognized leader in the registrarial community, having served as President of the ARUCC Board and Director of the MyCreds | MesCertif national network initiative.

Dr. Koen Van Gorp is Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics, Languages, and Cultures at Michigan State University. His research focuses on language assessment, task-based language teaching and assessment, multilingual education, and teacher education. He has led and collaborated on numerous research, assessment, and curriculum initiatives, including serving as Co-Principal Investigator of the National Less Commonly Taught Languages Resource Center. His work aims to develop valid, equitable, and meaningful approaches to language education that support multilingual learners and educational institutions worldwide. As Chair of the TOEFL Committee of Examiners, he brings expertise in language assessment and educational innovation to support the continued advancement of TOEFL.

Shiny has also published articles on China's international education in major media including the New York Times. Recently published a best seller on college counseling in Chinese.

Dr. Taner Yapar holds a PhD in Educational Measurement and Evaluation and has been serving as the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages at TOBB University of Economics and Technology (Ankara) since 2010. His work focuses on language assessment, performance-based testing, AI-assisted assessment of productive skills, and the application of statistics and item response theory in testing.

He is the Joint Coordinator of TESOL Türkiye META-SIG and a Founding Executive Board Member of DEDAK (Association for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Language Education Programs). He is also the co-founder of GreenTesting, an initiative advancing sustainable, AI-driven, and psychometrics-informed assessment practices.

In addition, he is a Certified Cambridge Assessment Trainer and has delivered numerous language assessment training programs in collaboration with institutions such as ETS-Türkiye, UES (Unlimited Educational Services), and Gordion Academy.
